The Common Misconception of Christian Authority

In this blog Susanne brings out the difference between doing things FOR God as opposed to only what HE gives you to do by HIS power and covering. As a Christian there is much to take to heart here in the article as well as the comments.

Entering the Promised Land

Have you ever heard about Christians having been given a special kind of authority on the grounds of calling themselves a Christian? You know this kind of supernatural ‘power’ that is to enable us to share our testimony wherever and whenever or to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything” (Mt 28:19-20 NIV) that Jesus has said? Others might have been taught that as soon as the devil attacks us, we should put on the whole armor of God (Eph 6:11-18) so that we can resist him. 1. Thank you very much for the reblog, Michael. I appreciate it.

Btw, it seems to me that my picture of these three crocuses goes nicely with the background color of your website. Even better than with mine which has a white background. 🙂

Susanne, I looked at that picture of the flowers and wondered about its meaning. As for the background of my blog, I love earth tones for it is of His handy-work, just as it is for those sweet little flowers to springing forth from the humus.

It is a wonder how two people from totally different backgrounds and parts of the world can dovetail together in so many ways. It is a joy to be in One Body with you for this is also His doing. Thank you, Daddy, for making it possible and more and more of a reality that we might all become ONE Body in your Son.
      Amen.

      • Amen, Michael! ⭐

For me any triple occurrence in nature represents the Trinity that is everywhere through the Holy Spirit. 🙂

It is amazing that so often I wake up in the middle of the night and look at my digital clock and it says 3:33. You see so much hidden meaning in numbers and even license plates! One thing for sure, those crocuses are far more beautiful than a digital clock or license plate!
We are attracted to the beauty of His creation, aren’t we? Yesterday, I got to enjoy feeding the local deer some apples and they seem to be asking for more. 🙂
