WordPress Blog Hosting Change

Dear friends in Christ,

This morning I was shocked when I went to look at our “A Wilderness Voice” blog without signing in and saw it the way you all normally do. There I saw an advertisement for a world wide Christian cult down in the text of the opening page! THAT WAS IT! We bit the bullet and bought an upgraded to the “Personal” level so that there will be no more adds on here any longer. We will also have access to tech support via online chats with their techs. This will be a great help for me being I do not always remember how to access certain features via their “Dashboard” function.

And many shall follow their lascivious doings; by reason of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of. And in covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose sentence now from of old lingereth not, and their destruction slumbereth not. (2Pet 2:2-3, ASV)

God bless you all as you follow the Lamb wherever He goes,

Michael

    • Please, do not sell yourself short, Michael! You are tech savvy, esp. regarding computers. ⭐ We cannot know EVERYTHING. God created the Body of Christ whose members should work together and help one another out as they listen to His leading, right?

      • And you have helped me as well, Michael, in particular with your profound scriptural knowledge! πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†

You are a treasure, my brother! πŸ’ŽA gift from God, a blessing to all those who have come to know you. πŸ•ŠβπŸ’•πŸ˜‡

Feeeew!!! How does one react to a comment as favorable as yours? Susanne, I know that you are not one who is given over to flattery. We are what we are by the grace of our Father, for sure. I am so glad that He has done such a great work in you as well. You are a treasure from Him to us all, dear sister. ⭐ πŸ’• ⭐

Thank you, Daddy, for all you have done in our lives by the salvation that is ours in Your Son. Please keep it up (both the dying and the increase of resurrection life within us) until we are mature sons and daughters in your kingdom. Amen.

  3. Michael, I have an ad blocker, too. But when I once visited my own blog from the phone where I do not have such a thing, I was more than surprised about the ads that popped up. No details here, it was ugly! πŸ˜› I believe the devil does not sleep… whether it is the wrong spirits that sneak in through comments or through ads. He loves to disturb, distract, confuse, and finally deceive us.

I agree, Susanne. We have been warned in the scriptures to be on guard for such sly attacks. I admit that your gift of discerning of spirits is more active than mine. Often he comes in through a nice and seemingly “scriptural” comment and then it becomes the old “bait and switch” routine and we have to start blocking the comments that become more and more divisive or manifesting a spirit of confusion. I think that if you amplify this into his attacks and infiltration of the church it is easy to see why institutional Christianity, which is more interested in numbers than discerning who belongs to Christ, has become such a confusing mixture. Jesus warned that this would happen,

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” (Matt 7:15-16, ASV)

      As did Paul,

“For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn everyone night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:29-31, KJ2000)

      And John,

“Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; by which we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” (1John 2:18-19, KJ2000)

They start out as if they are of us and then lead us away from the leading of the Spirit with their false anti-christ spirit into falsehood and deception. Finding unity in the Spirit of Christ is so precious and SO hard to keep because of all these demonic attacks. John finally said that our only hope is to listen to the Spirit alone and not human teachers.

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written unto you because you know not the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth…. Let that therefore abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he has promised us, even eternal life.” (1John 2:20-25, KJ2000)

Father, please watch over our precious fellowship in Your Spirit and warn us of this liar’s (that roaring lion’s) tactics when he comes in. Amen.

I think you’ve done the right thing. It’s quite a shock to see what comes up sometimes. I think I’m going to do the same.

I have not been able to write much or read on the computer. But since I know that everything works for good, I know that the Lord has kept me quiet these days by listening to His voice. I can enter very little, just read your articles and nothing else, until I can fix it again. Glory to God for everything that happens.

Patricia, I am glad that you have found your rest in Him in such a trial as this. Getting stung by a “Christian businessman” is a real test. Like Jesus said on the cross, “Father forgive them, they know not what they do [what spirit they are of].”

AsΓ es Michael, esos llamados “cristianos” te hacen poner los pelos de punta. Es una prueba verdadera, como tΓΊ dices. Que el SeΓ±or los ilumine y les conceda el arrepentimiento.
